There is a third, smaller WTA tournament in Valencia/Spain, which I will not feature in detail. Remarkable developments will be commented in the ‘Other Tournaments’ department. — Well, as things are unfolding for a while now in The Netherlands and BJC (‘Boris Johnson Country’) I feel that it’s good to skip this week as to my infamously abundant, witty and hilarious comments. Unless something really really flabbergasting happens. One half of me hopes that it does. But this half is on vacation.

11/6/22 – ITF W60 Poertschach/Austria (F) – Well, just another cozy ITF title under the belt of Laura Siegemund (photo). Normally no news worthy to report, but here it’s a clear 62 62 win against [3] Viktoria Kuzmova. Let’s see, how Laura will do in Berlin, whereto she quite likely is heading right in this very moment of me writing these lines.
11/6/22 – ITF W60 Biarritz/France (SF) – Mina Hodzic def [4] Maria Lourdes Carle by 765 36 75.
S’Hertogenbosch, 12/6/22[ → order of play ] Ekaterina Alexandrova so often has issues when it comes to crossing the finish line of a match. But not today. The Rosmalen ’22 title nicely and deservedly won. Sabalenka should do something, meditate, hire a mental coach, something like that. And maybe she should try and stop groaning and moaning for a while. Maybe she plays better without, who knows.
10/6/22 – ITF W60 Biarritz/France (F) – What a week for qualifier Mina Hodzic (photo), who wins the Biarritz title against French wildcard Lucie Nguyen Tan by 63 63. It’s the second title for her with W15 Manacor 2020 already under her belt. Today’s trophy weighs a lot heavier.
