So I finally decided to come to an end with this series just for now with the option to continue it later as there is much watchable stuff left. Not by chance in closing I chose this beautiful portrait of Patty Schnyder, whom to meet on these cozy ITF events I had the chance many times during her last years prior to retirement. A real sportswoman and role model, who always showed her best commitment to the sport on every stage no matter how big or small without any airs and graces whatsoever.<\/p>\n

Dear friends,<\/p>\n

as there has taken place a really remarkable loss of visits here during the last couple of days I take this as an opportunity to say some words on my own account. This could be done with thousands of words or just a few. For now I chose the latter option. Maybe I’ll write a book about it later.<\/p>\n

Many of us seem to function in a very narrow and unfree way when it comes to ambiguity. For them there seems to be only one way to go, namely to chose the worst of all thinkable options. If something could be interpreted in a low way, it will be, no matter how many other ways to see it there might be. I had to deal with that phenomenon a lot at the tennis courts. In many of my pictures you find someone looking at me in a biased and prejuging way. If I would have let that hinder or intimidate me all these wonderful tennis portraits wouldn’t have been possible. Being a sensitive soul as a matter of fact this always has been very exhausting to me and I am really really sick and tired of it.<\/p>\n

Obviously the last photos I posted have been interpreted out of exactly this low-minded and shortened mindset. I find no other explanation for the decay of visits. Nobody sees the option, that I truly took them out of fascination and deep respect for the emotional commitment of the players. I don’t want to lose even one word about what I now believe they are thinking.<\/p>\n

I refuse to put up with this rubbish!!!<\/p>\n

Well, then, folks. I don’t have the might to change anybody. But no one can preclude me from walking tall. I know who I am and what my intentions are. No one will ever be able to suck me down on their miry level.<\/p>\n

Feel free to be unfree, feel free to interpret my work just to your liking.<\/p>\n

I cannot and will not stoop that low.<\/p>\n
