Bundesliga ’24

Not much of a chance for me to work at this years Bundesliga events. Either they are on Fridays, when I have to amuse my piano students. Or they are too far away. No big deal, since my eyes are a bit weak at the moment due to Diabetes anyway.

Yesterday for me the sensation was the win of Lena Papadakis against much higher ranked Viktorija Golubic by 64 36 10:6. After a huge fire in nearby Berlin-Lichterfelde there was a warning with the recommendation to close all doors and windows. Both teams decided to play anyway. This reminded me of the retirement of Dalila Jakupovic at the 2020 Melbourne qualification, which was held inmidst of these huge bushfires they had there that year.
